BoxFind Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
BoxFind is a storage inventory app operated by Lahbib Semlali, an individual developer based in Morocco. This policy explains how information is handled when you use BoxFind and this privacy page. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to lahbibdev@gmail.com.
Your inventory stays in the app on your device
Box names, item names, location labels, photos and unsaved drafts are stored in BoxFind's local app storage. Location labels are text you enter, such as a room or shelf; BoxFind does not request your GPS location. BoxFind does not upload inventory or photos to the developer or RevenueCat and does not provide an inventory cloud-sync service. You do not need a BoxFind account.
Your device or its backup services may separately include app data in system backups according to your settings. Those services are outside BoxFind's manual backup feature.
Photos and permissions
BoxFind requests camera access when you choose to take a box photo. You can also choose a photo through the system photo picker. The app copies and compresses the chosen image into its own local storage. You can record and search text inventory without adding photos. You can change camera access in iPhone Settings.
Manual backups and sharing
When you export a complete backup, it contains all saved boxes, items and their photos. Unsaved drafts and purchase entitlements are excluded. You choose whether to save or share that file through the system share sheet, including any cloud storage provider you select. BoxFind does not send backups to the developer. Exported backup files are not password-protected by BoxFind; protect them and share them only with people or services you trust.
Restoring a backup replaces local inventory after your confirmation. Copies you saved or shared outside the app remain under your control and are subject to the chosen service's policies.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes the optional one-time Lifetime purchase. RevenueCat helps validate purchases, restore access and maintain purchase status. Purchase-related information sent to RevenueCat can include an automatically generated app user identifier, receipt or transaction information, product, price, currency, purchase dates and access status, together with app/device technical information and purchase-related activity.
We use this information to provide paid access, restore purchases, prevent fraud and understand purchase activity. We do not send your inventory, photos, name or email as RevenueCat customer attributes. BoxFind does not receive your payment card details. Losing purchase access does not delete or hide your inventory.
Apple and RevenueCat may process information outside your country; RevenueCat describes hosting in the United States. Their privacy information is available at Apple Privacy and RevenueCat Privacy. BoxFind does not add advertising tracking or sell your inventory or photos.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Local inventory and drafts remain until you delete them, replace inventory through restore, or remove the app. Settings → Delete local inventory removes inventory and drafts; photo-file cleanup may finish when you next reopen the app after a cleanup failure. Deleting local inventory does not delete an Apple purchase or purchase-service records.
Removing the app can lose local inventory. Delete separately saved backups and copies in cloud/device backups separately if you want those removed. BoxFind cannot remove copies held by another person or service.
Purchase-service records may be retained to verify and restore access, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Email us for requests concerning purchase-related information; we will coordinate with the relevant provider where applicable. Apple controls its own purchase and payment records.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to make a request. Exporting a complete backup and editing/deleting local inventory let you manage the inventory stored on your device.
Contact and website information
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include. We use it to respond and resolve your request, retaining correspondence only as needed for support, follow-up or legal obligations. Please avoid sending private inventory, receipts or other sensitive material unless needed for your request.
